THE UNVEILING OF SUDAYI with a special focus on autism, is an event organized in conjunction with the House Committee on Disability Matters, and was held on the 20th of March 2025, at meeting room 231 of the House of Representatives, National Assembly of Nigeria, Abuja.
“We celebrate this as a major milestone in SUDAYI’s journey, as we reflect on our progress, honor our accomplishments, and map out a future where inclusivity knows no bounds. This gathering marks a pivotal moment for SUDAYI, as we strengthen ties with our stakeholders, forge new partnerships, and reaffirm our dedication to empowering persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria. Through this event, we will share our impact, unveil our future plans, and invite like-minded partners to join us in championing the rights of PWDs, with a special focus on individuals with autism.”
Objectives of the Event: Unveiling SUDAYI – Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges
- Introduce SUDAYI to the public: Officially launch SUDAYI and introduce its mission, vision, and objectives to stakeholders, partners, and the general public.
- Raise awareness about autism and disability: Create awareness about autism, disability, and the challenges faced by individuals with autism and other disabilities in Nigeria.
- Promote inclusion and accessibility: Emphasize the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and equality for persons with disabilities, and highlight SUDAYI’s commitment to promoting these values.
- Build partnerships and collaborations: Foster partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders, organizations, and individuals who share SUDAYI’s vision and mission.
- Mobilize support for SUDAYI’s initiatives: Generate support and enthusiasm for SUDAYI’s initiatives, programs, and services, and encourage stakeholders to get involved.
- Create a platform for dialogue and advocacy: Provide a platform for stakeholders to engage in dialogue, share experiences, and advocate for the rights and interests of persons with disabilities.
- Showcase SUDAYI’s impact and plans: Share SUDAYI’s achievements, impact, and future plans, and demonstrate its commitment to creating positive change for persons with disabilities.
