Jummai Sunday is a hardworking farmer who was left to fend for herself, her five children, and a grandson after her husband abandoned the family. Despite her determination, the burden of farming and caring for her family became overwhelming. Additionally, her farm suffered significant losses due to bandits allowing their cattle to destroy her crops.
SUDAYI provided financial assistance to help ease her burden, enabling her to purchase insecticides for her farm. We are also planning to assist her through advocacy, working with community leaders to develop policies that will enhance security for farmers in the area. Currently, we are connecting farmers like Jummai with stakeholders to help them access grants, fertilizers, and other resources to improve their farm yields.
